Gym Strength: Squat & Split-Squat Foundations

Build lower-body strength for repeated lunges, push-offs and stable court positions. Use a load and range appropriate to the player’s experience; supervised coaching is recommended for new gym work.

Start with bodyweight squat and split-squat patterns. Progress only when the movement is controlled and comfortable.
