Squash Crosscourt Drop: Create Space Safely
Use the crosscourt drop selectively to move an opponent across the front court. Build enough height and width to keep it safe before trying to make it tighter.
Set up
Start from a comfortable front-court feed. Mark a target that lands before the service line and away from the middle.
Home practice
Shadow 10 controlled crosscourt-drop actions per side, returning to the T after every repetition.
Key cues
See the opponent first.
Give the ball enough width.
Recover to protect the next straight reply.
Progressions
Static feeds; add a moving opponent; then decision game: straight drop, crosscourt drop or length.
